Bewilderments (bewilderments.com) is part of the N.C.I.S. Auction Treasures family of shops in North Idaho, along with ncisauctiontreasures.com, reporedo.com and bewilderments.com. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it to answer you, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. When you use a contact form or “Ask about this item,” we receive your name, the email address and/or phone number you give us, and your message. If you ask about a specific item, we note which one.
- Security. The site uses Wordfence, a security plugin, which records the internet address and browser of visitors to block attacks and repeated failed sign-ins. These security records are kept for up to 30 days.
- Cookies. Visitors get no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress sets sign-in cookies only for the people who manage the site.
How we use it
Your message is emailed to us and saved in the website’s admin area so we can reply, arrange a sale or pickup, or follow up on something you’re looking for. We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t sell, rent or share your details with anyone, except where the law requires it.
Our listings and Facebook
The items on this site are copied from our own Facebook Marketplace listings. When you click “Message on Facebook” or a link to Facebook, you leave this site and Facebook’s own privacy policy applies to anything you do there. This website does not load Facebook tracking pixels or “like” buttons.
Other services this site uses
- Google Fonts. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, so your browser connects to Google, which can see your internet address. Google says it does not use this to build profiles.
- Our web host. Like every website, our host’s servers keep standard access logs (internet address, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept for up to two years so we can look back at a conversation about an item, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Just send a message through our contact page or call us, and we’ll take care of it. We may need to confirm it’s really you.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change how the site handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
